Iron Tides

Iron Tides is a rogue-lite tactics game currently in early access on Steam. It includes procedurally generated world exploration and deep tactical combat.

I created this game as part of Crash Wave Games, a company of two people, plus a handful of part-time contractors. My partner is almost entirely dedicated to marketing and team management, leaving me in charge of nearly all aspects of game production. I developed the design for nearly all of the game's systems, and made all the art assets (with the exception of the water system, the particle effects, and one character model). I also developed nearly all of the game's code, utilizing only a handful of existing plugins for the most common functions.

Time Splicers

Status: Released, Platform: Browser, Engine: Flash, Production Time: 1 Week

I developed this game for a one week game contest. It's a defense shooting game with a portal mechanic. You have to defend both sides of the screen but can only travel through the portal to do so. Enemies and bullets can also move through the portal, which has to be accounted for.

The game features endless waves of enemies, which become progressively more numerous and challenging. There are eight different enemy types, a super weapon that can be charged by collecting power ups, and a leaderboard using id.net cloud services.

Tumble Fortress

Status: Released, Platform: Browser, Engine: Flash, Production Time: 1 Month

Tumble Fortress is a physics based tower defense game. You build towers and walls out of physics-active blocks and setup warriors on top of them. The game features 6 upgradeable warrior classes, 30 levels, a lengthy research system, and 40 different enemy types.

Empires of Arkeia

Status: Released, Platform: Browser, Engine: Flash, Production Time: 5 Months

Empires of Arkeia is a lane-based battle game set in a fantasy world. It features a wide range of different battlefields, 60 diverse levels and a large roster of unit types. Including both player and enemy units, I created a total of 80 characters for this game. All of them were modeled and animated using 3d software, and then pre-rendered into sprites.

Scrap Metal Heroes

Status: Released, Platform: Browser, Engine: Flash, Production Time: 6 Months

Scrap Metal Heroes is a robot-building lane combat game. It features a deep robot customization system, utilizing well over 200 different parts. The game also includes an epic story mode, a survival mode, an arena, optional side missions, and a store for purchasing new components. There is also an item system that allows you to use consumables (such as missiles, stun grenades, supply drops, etc) to help your robots win the day.
